How To Live From the Heart

Live From the Heart

How do you live and think from the heart? The first and most important step is not to get there from your head. Activating and empowering your heart’s center begins with acknowledging that there is a brain and an emotional center that resides there.

In  a world that is highly visual and constantly bombarded with stimulation, we are exposed to a myriad of sensations that keep us in our heads.  From thinking about our daily activities to relationships, finances, jobs, social responsibilities, home, family….the list could go on and we could be stuck in our heads for ever.  That is not the point of this post though.

It has taken me nearly 5 years of constant and conscientious effort to try and get out of my head.  It’s not enough when you read Eckart Tolle’s The Power of Now or try and stay present in the moment through Buddhist meditations when your mind is busier than a schizophrenic bee on cocaine.  Alright, perhaps it’s not that uncontrollable.  You get my drift though.  Our thoughts are a reflection of our society.

So how do we quiet those thoughts down and be more in our hearts?

It takes time, effort, dedication, and the release of energy, memories, thoughts, feelings and events that we acquire throughout our lifetime.  Did you get that?  It’s a non-stop effort in cleaning, clearing, and claiming.  What are you claiming?  Peace of mind!!!!!

Through the energy modalities that I have learned over the years and the energy work I’ve received from loving individuals and healers, I can honestly say that my thoughts are quieter, more stable, and less obtrusive.  Now my practice is not perfect and it does take discipline to detach yourself emotionally from the thoughts that come up.

As the thoughts appear in my spectrum, I begin to detach myself emotionally and mentally from the charge of that thought.  No longer do I allow a thought or memory to take me down a path and recreate the scenario, the feelings, the trauma, the reminders of what I could have done differently.  It doesn’t matter!!! It’s already in the past and it is DONE!  Anything else I could have done or should have done NEVER was intended to be that way.   That is the path of my life.  That is the path of your life.

Hands and Hearts

Living in the stories of the past is a painful reminder of who we were not who we are NOW.  In order to live in the heart, we must conscientiously choose to think and see the world from the heart.  We are emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical beings that have such depths of texture, emotions, and experiences.

To see the world from our hearts opens up a realm of possibilities.  To see the world from our minds opens up a palate of possible limitations of our experiences.

To see the world from our hearts is to be compassionate to ourselves and others – especially regarding our individual experiences.  To see the world from our minds sees the separation, devastation, challenges, and factions that keep us prisoners of our own experiences.

To live from our hearts is to fully stand in alignment with the Divine and trust that our life is unfolding according to Divine Plan.  To live from our minds is to be separate from the Divine and question the experiences and opportunities that may come up.

To live from our hearts is to grow as spiritual and evolved beings, symbiotically living with the Earth and her people.  To live from our minds is to feel the constant struggle of the ego and the heart.

I realize it’s not easy.  I don’t really believe it’s suppose to be.  This plane of existence is our school.  We signed up for the curriculum called LIFE and are experiencing the classes in a really close and intimate setting.  We have chances to reflect on what has occurred experientially  and to make the changes to have different experiences.

Electirc Heart

So here is my very very very simple 5 step recipe for How to Live From the Heart.  If it resonates, GREAT!!!  Take it into your heart and live it!! If it doesn’t – well, then, give me a call and we can do some energy work on you so that you can begin the process of coming home to your birthright of peace, self-confidence, and empowerment.

#1.  Take the time to get to a quiet place, whether in meditation or prayer, and ask to be taken into your heart’s sacred space.  While you are there, practice seeing the world from that point of view.

#2.  Be compassionate to yourself and others.  Really listen to what people are saying to you and let that information filter through your heart before you respond.  You may find that not everything that happens in the world is a personal attack towards you.

#3.  Learn to detach yourself emotionally and mentally from thoughts, experiences, memories, triggers, and fears that come up.  Learn to watch the thoughts that flitter into your mind and see it flitter out once you have acknowledged that it has come up.  Do not allow yourself to spend more than 2 minutes on a thought or you are lost to the vibration and energetic charge of it once again.

#4.  Forgive yourself for your shortcomings and learn to forgive others for theirs.  By not judging people, circumstances, and the world – the Divine energy can come down to your heart and activate understanding.  By not giving in to your fears and sense of powerlessness – the energy of the Earth can come up to your Heart to create empowerment and action.

#5.  Give thanks!  Giving thanks and being in a state of gratitude softens your heart and opens up the possibilities of positive experiences coming in. Even if a situation occurs that seems difficult to give thanks for, just remember that you are on this Earthly plane to experience, remember, and master.  Mastering humility and gratitude puts you closer and more in touch with your heart thus placing you closer to your Divine Self.

Many blessings to you all! I see you with eyes of Love.  I acknowledge you with a humble heart.  And I feel you with the energetic compassion of the Divine.  Have a blessed and stellar week!

Be True to Your Vision

Slow and steady wins the race

Persistence pays off.  It really does! A lot of great books – fiction, non-fiction, business, and self-help, talk about how persistence moves mountains and creates opportunities to live your dream.  Being true to your vision and moving forward in baby steps can also feed your dream and allow you be the master planner of your life and destiny.

I am currently reading Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.  It’s a classic business book.  Why would an energy worker and a healer be reading this kind of book?  The answer is simple.  My vision is to help people and to assist them through changes and shifts they are undergoing in their lives.  In order to do this, I have to run my practice as an efficient business, following up and nourishing the relationships that I have.  This is important in  manifesting and realizing my dream and vision – which is to be self-sufficient, financially successful and independent.

What is your vision?

Too many times, people share their vision and then hide behind it, waiting for the criticism and judgement of others to mislead them from their path.  If you can change your mind too quickly about what you want for your future, perhaps, it is not the solid foundation you had hoped to build.  That is good! Why?  Because building a solid foundation that you can stand firmly on to represent your hearts desire and your soul’s mission is an important part of being on this Earth.

Being true to your vision is being true to yourself.  It is being true to your dreams and allowing the energy of Creation to manifest the steps that need to be taken to materialize your idea of success.  Believing that you have what it takes is paramount to living the essence of success.

Pushing forward through the fogSo what is the perfect recipe for success?  There are many formulas.  We have one we’d like to share with you.

#1.  Connect with your heart and the Divine Creator to bring to light your ultimate vision of success and happiness.

#2.  Ask for the assistance from the Universe to send all the key components that will make your vision a reality.

#3. Prepare yourself to receive the assistance and get into ACTION when the nudges, opportunities, and pathways open to get your ball in motion

#4.  Reflect continuously on what your end results are and focus on the vibration of how it feels to accomplish your vision.

#5.  Be consistent in your words and actions in completing your tasks toward your vision.

#6.  Be grateful for the little opportunities and steps that occur to bring you closer to your goal

#7.  Write your process down and reflect on what actions worked and didn’t work.

#8.  Surround yourself with positive, encouraging people who support you in manifesting your dream in motion.

#9.  Continually work on beliefs and blockages that may hinder you in your movement forward – release doubt, fear, and stress.  This process could be very easy as long as you believe it to be.

#10.  Celebrate the victories as they come.  Each celebration, no matter how small, gets you closer to your goal and allows you to enjoy the process along the way.  After all, it is the process and the means of how we get there that we grow and discover our strengths, abilities, and co-creative power to be who we are:  Super stellar human beings!

Stay Blessed and Persistent!

Before you ask, give thanks!

I recently heard a great message in an audiobook program about the power of prayer.  It is not uncommon for people to ask for things they want or need in life.  I do the same myself.  Then I wait…and wonder…and then finally ask…where is it?

If you’ve seen The Secret or read any self-empowering books, then you know that one of the key ingredients for the appearance of good fortune and blessings is gratitude.  Sure, it’s an easy enough conversational piece to throw around and say ‘Thank You’ automatically.  We have even abbreviated the gratitude to ‘Thanks’ as we rush about our busy world.  Very rarely do we take the time to be mindful in our gratitude for every little thing.  And I mean every little thing!

From the food you eat, to the friends you love, to the family that ‘drives you crazy’, to the blessings of  your health –  these are just a few listings of the possible things we could be thankful for.  So why do we need more?

Let’s face it.  We live in a materialistic, throwaway culture.  If we can be that way about our materials and environment – are  we that way with ourselves?  It seems so from my observation of studying people as a nurse for over 12 years.  So what needs to shift within someone for real change to come?  And how do you tell someone who may be hopeless, dejected, and debilitated that their attitude may be contributing to their reality?  And what if someone doesn’t believe it.  What do you do?

I say NOTHING! You can not shift people who are not emotionally, psychologically, or spiritually ready.  All you can do is give thanks for the blessings that you DO HAVE and live a life of exemption and example.  And when these same people wonder – why are you so blessed and I have little – perhaps they will be ready to ask you what your secret is.   What you can do is share your practices, affirmations, methods, and victories – always pointing back to the Source of All that has blessed you.  And in redirecting this focus back to Great Spirit, you too will be rewarded with success and positive outcomes.

The difference you make by giving thanks prior to asking for your blessings is one of a conscious attention to be reunited with The Great Spirit in order to tap in to the Universal Life Force and be filled to overflowing with Divine Grace.  And upon asking, you will have already known what that feels to receive the bounty of being blessed.  For it to manifest requires you to hold space within yourself to receive that which you ask for.  No one else can do this for you.  And it would not be fair to ask someone else to do this job for you.  This is part of your soul’s path in learning how to be, receive, and allow.  I wish you the best of luck and celebrate all that you are, all that you have, and all that you are meant to be!

Stay Blessed!
