I happened to be at work last night when the conversation took an interesting turn. The nurses asked me, “Why do we repeat patterns in our lives, and how do we change them?” I smiled and replied, “We repeat patterns in our lives because they are encoded in our cellular DNA which replicates daily, therefore, we attract those same lessons and issues until we reach a point where we can’t take it any more.”
One of the nurses eye widened. “But how can that be?” she said. “I try to think positively, but I always keep attracting negative people in my life.”
I smiled again. “Well….positive thinking is a beginning but it can only take you so far. Sometimes you need help when you’re dealing with your organs, memories, traumatic experiences, and patterns that have been set for generations and handed to you.”
“Can you do that?” they asked in unison, eyes even wider.
“I can help you,” I replied. “However, I only choose to work with people who are committed to working on themselves.”
And that’s true! We replicate patterns on a subconscious level, unaware that we are creating the circumstances that we are unhappy about, attracting the people and situations that we must learn from, and viewing and experiencing the negative talk in our minds with little or no control. Is this you?
Why Do We Repeat Patterns in Our Lives?
#1. Patterns have been handed down to us from our parents who may have learned those negative traits from their parents and so on. An example is stereo-typing and judging people for the color of their skin or religious beliefs.
#2. We don’t know any better. We may attract situations and people in our lives because we manifest them through our vibrations and actions. An example is someone who attracts an abuser because they grew up in an abused household or has self-abusive patterns.
#3. We feel like our patterns are “safe” and give us an “identity.” When you have a particular pattern that replicates, such as an illness, trauma or depression, you feel like you have something in common with others who may be experiencing similar situations. Commiserating is a form of bonding. An example is someone who constantly talks about their disease and how it makes them feel, thus gathering a sympathetic audience wherever they go.
#4. Our patterns are inherently coded in our DNA. Every experience, trauma, emotion, feeling, memory and fear is stored within your body’s DNA and replicates automatically. This means that if we carry negative experiences and think about them over and over, our body goes through that experience again and again. Most people are unaware that they have these underlying trains of thought that runs their life.
#5. Patterns serve as a necessary means to help our soul evolve. That means, we have an opportunity to look at situations and heal them so that we can move forward from the past. An example is a person who attracts theft into their life. At some point, that person may begin changing that pattern by moving, locking their stuff up more securely, and having a more commanding presence in their lives.
How Do We Heal Negative Patterns?
#1. Take stock of how your life is and what you would like to change.
#2. Stop blaming others for how your life has turned out.
#3. Stop negating or belittling yourself for the decisions you have made.
#4. Take a pr0-active approach and get insight to how certain patterns started and how they can be changed through Akashic Record Readings.
#5. Start working on your organs, your body and your energy field. Begin with the kind of food you choose to eat to the kinds of thoughts you want to think to the kind of feelings you want to experience. Ask for assistance in clearing your organs. #6. Look at your environment. Is it truly healthy for you or does it set the stage for the patterns to repeat themselves? Only you can assess when you are truly willing and ready for a change.
#7. Quiet your mind’s self-depracating chatter. If you choose to believe that you can’t, won’t, aren’t, shouldn’t – you will find that all those will be true. Start instead with I can, I AM, I will and I believe. Take control of the landscape of your mind.
#8. Get enough sleep. When you are under stress and don’t get enough rest you will more likely succumbed to bad habits and temptations. Set limits for yourself.
#9. Set realistic objective goals about what you want to have come into your life. Start with a small goal like “waking up in the morning and saying, “Thank You” to start your day.
#10. Ask for help. You do not have to do this alone. There are many qualified healers and practitioners who can help change, shift, and assist you in your life.
